Capital General Trading Company began as a company for trading used cars in Kuwait back in 1964. The Company was founded by Mr. Ahmad Odeh, who was one of the early pioneers in the sector of Automotive business within Jordan and Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (GCC).
In 1984, the company established a US branch office in Detroit, Michigan to support exporting of vehicle-units to countries in the GCC, along with heavy equipment, generators, spare parts, tires, batteries, motor oil and lubricants.
The company established in 1990 a branch office in Jordan’s Zarqa Free-Zone to provide an operational base for import/export business activities to neighboring countries of Iraq, Palestinian Territories and Saudi Arabia.
A second branch office was launched in 1993 in Amman, Jordan’s capital, to support operations with the Chinese company ‘jinbei GM’ as an agent for light trucks and small buses.
The company opened another branch office in 2005 in Sana’a, Yemen’s capital, for sales of new vehicles, including pick-up and light trucks along with generators, tires, motor oil and lubricants. Since 1994, company has collaborating agency-relationship in the GCC region with businesses in the automotive sector.
Over the years, the company has undertaken management of several challenging venture-capitals’ projects resulting in accumulated know-how, experiences and skills which manifested into all facets of our business.
